Rhinoplasty Treatment in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Capetown

The Rhinoplasty, otherwise commonly referred to as “a nose job”, derived from the Greek words, rhinos (nose) and plassein (to shape) is a medical or aesthetic procedure to improve the function and/or the shape of a human nose. A Rhinoplasty can be performed to meet aesthetic goals or for reconstructive purposes to correct trauma, birth defects or breathing problems.
It can be combined with other procedures such as chin, or lip augmentation to enhance the aesthetic results. Simple injections of a dermal filler called Radiesse®, a soft tissue filler comprised of micro calcium spheres suspended in a gel like substance are used.
This has proved to be the ideal substance to correct many of the minor deformities that exist either genetically or as a result of an accident or surgical procedure.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

People who have a crooked nose, a small dent or slight misformation on the nose that causes them dissatisfaction, or an unwanted hump on the bridge of the nose can successfully and safely be treated with a Radiesse® rhinoplasty. Additionally, people who have had a traumatic injury to the nose and cannot have surgery, or persons who have had a number of surgeries and can't have any more could be candidates for successful treatment with Radiesse®.

WHAT ARE THE OUTCOMES?

Excellent results can be seen immediately after treatment. The effects normally last between 15 and 18 months making it a cost-effective method.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Apart from mild reactions at the injected areas ranging from light swelling, redness, and irritation of the skin, there are no other side effects except in rare cases of allergic reactions. The side-effects resolve within a few hours to three days. Since the tissue filler is injected while a local anesthetic is used to dull any pain sensations, it requires little recovery time, so that you can return to normal work activities almost immediately after treatment.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

The treatment takes 30 minutes to an hour depending on the area of treatment.

HOW OFTEN IS THE TREATMENT REPEATED?

Since the effects are long lasting, the treatment need only be repeated after twelve months, although occasional touch ups may be needed. When soft tissue Rhinoplasty is performed, up to 3 treatments are performed over a couple of months to build up the desired structural appearance.

HOW MUCH DOES THE TREATMENT COST?

The cost of Radiesse®treatments vary according to the area being treated. The most obvious benefits are that it is performed without surgery, and at a fraction of the cost of a surgical procedure.
It is highly recommended that you consult your Aesthetic Specialist in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and also in George on the Garden Route.
